Objectives

We deliver will differently our activities in giving children and parents time not only to enjoy together, but also to feel away doing something together with my child is all about, so that to gain skills, build confidence and good health, and completely forget about anti-social behaviour. We also work in partnership with partners such as Let Me Play Cool Project with which some of our children go for camps, outing and gym. Children feel fascinating and cannot miss such event. Health and Safety issues and insurance for players are our priority, as well attendance at all time.

Cocyde will keep eye on Congolese children who having learning difficulties toward good qualification. Cocyde uses different materials, techniques and methods for a child to understand the course. We also recommend and refer them to an appropriate service, including the Department of Education for assistance. Cocyde run maths, English, IT, Science and general knowledge courses to parents so that they can be able to help children on home work. Eg: two children were already referred last year and still on going and the outcomes are excellent.

Once health problem is identified, Cocyde approaches to relieve sickness and poor health. Enables patients to reach their potential despite social, psychological and environmental barriers through advice, guidance, counselling and refers to an appropriate organisation to take action. For example doctors and qualified counsellor. And keep monitoring until the end result.

Cocyde will teache children French/ Lingala in addition to keep the culture alive in the host country. Up to date news is also given through news papers, magazines and video to compare the reality of life in both world. Cocyde is keen to underpinning effective practice in the hobby, development and learning of young children to raise skills, training, mother-tongue languages and social/ cultural workshop that enables them to successfully and actively participate in the multicultural society in which we live without forgetting what is going on in the Congo.

Additional educational need

Teaching and referral to an appropriate service; mentor, motivating and aspiring for a role model.

Social / cultural activities

Expanding consultation of Congolese parents/ families and leaflets to involve.
Sport: training sessions (football coaching, athletics as the Olympic approaching).
Events (meetings, get together, outing, celebrations) and ensure that participants are insured and health and safety issues are under control.

What needs to be addresses through our priorities?

The action plan is a relevant framework for Cocyde to address its priorities as highlighted above and below it provides details of each priority.
Our needs are identified and based on the research's outcome from the community's opinions. Our findings show that 85 % of the sample questioned is keen to Cocyde implementation. Therefore, the main priorities are as follow:

Lack of parenting care over educational and social’s behaviour.
School under-achievement and poor attendance
Deficiency in Maths, English and IT skills
Feeling of exclusion and alienation in real life
Disadvantage and disengagement to participate/ contribute within group/ individual ethnic in the local community.

How are going to deliver the plan?

We are going to put together a team of 5 people that represents all commissions within the organisation.
Create a vision and mission statement. A vision statement is a short one- or two-sentence statement that expresses where the business would like to be in the future. A mission statement may be a paragraph or more. This statement explains the values and intentions of a business.

Create a list of short-term goals. These goals can include increasing the number of volunteers/ workers, moving to a larger space, increasing customer awareness of goods and services, or making internal changes to operations or management. Short-term goals are those that can be accomplished within the first year or two of a 5-year strategic plan.

Create a list of long-term goals. These goals are to be met within a 5-year time period and can include increasing sales by a certain percentage, creating new goods and services, implementing new procedures or operational tasks, company expansion or, in some cases, downsizing. Long-term goals may be implemented in phases (for example, if you want to expand the company through a new area, hiring additional employees or introducing new products may be completed over the span of 5 years).

Set measurable goals and time limits to meet these goals. These are short- and long-term goals that can be measured through increased production, increased sales or increased customer interest. Measurable goals help keep employees motivated and allow team members to make changes if goals are not met at a predetermined time.

Outline possible ways to meet both short- and long-term goals. Brainstorm with team members for new ideas and concepts. Even though some ideas will not be used, brainstorming is the best way to involve every department within the company. Make sure every member of the team is allowed to contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Put vision and mission statements, short- and long-term goals, and ways to meet these goals into a report that also includes budgets, financial forecasts and other overhead information. This is your 5-year strategic plan.

The following statements underpin the implementation of activities related to the protection and safeguarding of vulnerable adults: agencies and organisations will work co-operatively in the identification, investigation, treatment and prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults.
